Wednesday, May 29, COO Maria Reiling represented Wf360 at
the Professional Business Women of Californias 13th
Annual Conference, in Moscone Center, San Francisco. This
years conference was entitled "Change: Embrace
the Challenge." With an attendance of 5000 participants,
PBWC hosted women from all walks of life ranging from World
Cup Soccer Player Brandi Chastain to Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi.
Other featured speakers included Joyce Gioia (Wall Street
Journal), Richard A. Moran (partner, Accenture), Lieutenant
Colonel Consuelo Castillo Kickbusch, Lalita Tademy (former
president of Sun Microsystems), Debra Meyerson PH.D (author
of Tempered Radicals), and Nikki Tesfai PH.D (founder and
president of the International African Refugee Womens
Network).
NAFEOn Saturday, June 1, Wf360s
Heather Fox attended the "30 Years of Women at Work:
the 30th Anniversary of the National Association for Female
Executives." Women of all fields gathered in the heart
of New York City at Crowne Plaza Times Squares Manhattan hotel,
in part to honor NAFEs top 25 companies (with Avon,
Scholastic, and Liz Claiborne as the leading three). The conferences
agenda was divided into two days of workshops and general
assemblies, hosting panelists like Joni Daniels (principal
of Daniels & Associates), Elizabeth Smith (Managing Director
of IBM and a MainEvent 2002 alum), Carol Evans (former publisher
of Working Mother magazine) and author Virginia OBrien.
The keynote speaker was MainEvent 2000 alum, Pat Mitchell
(President and CEO, PBS).
Forbes Executive Womens SummitThis
year, Susan Bird attended The Forbes Executive Women Summit
in San Francisco. A wide range of issues such as innovation
and entrepreneurship, leadership in changing times, and brand
and talent were discussed. Featured speakers of the 2002 summit
included Jamie Gorelick (Vice Chair, Fannie Mae), Marce Fuller
(President and CEO, Mirant), and featured speaker Sherron
Watkins (Vice President, Enron).
Wf360 CEO Susan Bird will give the keynote address at
the Women's Networking Forum on February 26, 2002 in Tokyo,
Japan. Hosted by Nihon Keizai Shimbun, Inc. (NIKKEI), the
theme focuses on how to build and maintain a network that
enhances your career and opportunity for advancement. The
event is targeted to career-oriented working women and is
expected to exceed its original attendance estimate of 400
people.

Bader (Business Group President; Corporate VP, Quality &
Business Excellence, The Dow Chemical Company), was recently
hand-picked by President George Bush to serve on the Homeland
