WOMENFUTURE's MAINEVENT 2002 TO BE
WEBCAST
NEW YORK (March 20, 2002) - Womenfuture, the world's most
innovative provider of interactive leadership and employee
development programs, hosts its third annual global town
hall experience, MainEvent 2002, on April 11. MainEvent
2002 simultaneously connects thousands of people around
the globe live via satellite and interactive webcast, to
some of the world's most remarkable leaders speaking live
from studios in New York, Washington, D.C. and London. In
addition to spectacular conversation and interaction with
and among global leaders, individuals assembled in corporate
boardrooms, auditoriums, on college campuses and PBS stations
will also have the opportunity to engage in a local discussion
about the issues raised by the global panels, ranging from
lessons in leadership to the importance of developing and
maintaining professional and personal networks, by assembling
local panels during telecast breaks to summarize the thoughts
of the day and apply them to local, regional or national
issues.
For the first time, MainEvent will also
be available to individuals through a live, interactive
webcast, thanks to a partnership with AOL Time Warner and
AOL, Inc. Beginning at 10:00 a.m. EST, anyone with Internet
access will be able to interact in the global conversation.

of leaders, including: Anne Mulcahy, CEO of Xerox; former
presidential advisor David Gergen; Kathleen M. Bader, Group

"MainEvent 2002 will provide a truly
unique opportunity to learn from and interact with dynamic
and inspiring leaders from all walks of life, as well as
peers and colleagues around the world," said Susan
W. Bird, Founder and CEO of Womenfuture. "MainEvent
has grown to become the Global Town Hall, engaging thousands
of men, women and students around the world simultaneously,
in a conversation that changes the way people live, work,
lead...and who leads. Once presented, the Global Town Hall
becomes a year-round program corporations use to focus on
what it is they really want to talk about, internally and
externally, with all the tools needed to turn that talk
into new programs and processes with actionable results."
